Chris Bryden is a California-based singer-songwriter whose music explores the search for meaning, connection, and the deeper currents that run through everyday life.
Drawing inspiration from folk, rock, classical, and spiritual traditions, his songs reflect a lifelong fascination with the questions that unite us all: How do we grow? What gives life purpose? How do we remain open-hearted in a complex and ever-changing world? His music invites listeners into a journey of reflection, discovery, and possibility.
His debut solo album, Moon Rocks, traces the path of a seeker navigating life’s twists and turns with curiosity, resilience, and hope. Blending thoughtful lyrics with melodic storytelling, the album explores themes of transformation, healing, wonder, and the enduring human impulse to reach for something greater than ourselves.
Chris’s musical journey began long before Moon Rocks. He is a former internationally touring musician and lead singer of the band Alma Desnuda (Spanish for “Naked Soul”), a group that shared its uplifting blend of music with audiences around the world. Through concerts, festivals, and community performances, Alma Desnuda embraced music as a way to inspire connection, joy, and a shared sense of humanity.
Continuing his lifelong pursuit of musical growth, Chris is currently deepening his craft through rigorous classical piano studies, exploring the discipline, beauty, and expressive possibilities of the instrument.
Beyond music, Chris is dedicated to service and community. He serves as Board President of California Revels, a nonprofit arts organization celebrating the power of traditional music, theater, and shared cultural experience. He also volunteers in a variety of capacities with Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF), supporting spiritual community, devotional music, and service activities. His earlier experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine and current hospice volunteer service have further shaped his appreciation for the richness of the human journey and the many ways people find meaning, courage, and joy.
In his professional life, Chris works in construction management, helping deliver transportation infrastructure solutions that connect communities and keep the world moving.
Whether performing intimate acoustic songs or full-band arrangements, Chris creates music for seekers, dreamers, and anyone drawn to the adventure of being fully alive.
